
Juan Bernal
Juan Bernal Jiménez is a postdoctoral researcher in the Applied Health Technology Research Group (ITAS) at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Spain, where he is a professor. He is an occupational therapist and psychologist, with a master's degree in neurosciences and behavioural biology and a PhD from the UCLM. Juan focuses his research on the development of new intervention strategies in neurorehabilitation, specifically with non-invasive brain stimulation, tDCS and rTMS, robotics and low-cost technology. He also has lines of research in the biopsychosocial approach to drug-resistant pain, biomarkers in anxiety and depression, rehabilitation of postural control and balance with low-cost technology. Juan develops an international research career developing different collaborations, highlighting his participation in the Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research (TBIO) of the School of Health of the Polytechnic University of Porto. Finally, Juan has more than 10 years of experience in the field of neurorehabilitation.
