Ruben Magalhães completed his degree in Orthoptics at the School of Health of the Polytechnic University of Porto (ESS-IPP) in 2023. Currently, he is a MSc student in Neurobiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). As for professional activities, he is currently a professor in the degree in Orthoptics at ESS-IPP and is also a part-time orthoptist at a private ophthalmology clinic. Additionally, he´s a grader at the Coimbra Ophthalmology Reading Centre (CORC), a clinical studies center part of the Association for Innovation and Biomedical Research on Light and Image (AIBILI). Rúben is also a member of the Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research (TBIO). His major focus lies in the visual neurosciences field, particularly in the structural/functional study of the visual system and applied non-invasive brain stimulation, having had training in those fields/techniques, both in his origin country and outside.
