Diogo Ferreira
Diogo Filipe Rocha Ferreira completed his degree in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto in 2016, then joined and completed the Master's in Microbiology at the University of Aveiro, after developing his thesis entitled "Priming events and development of tolerance upon Influenza A virus and Staphylococcus aureus infection" at the Institute of Molecular Virology in Münster. In 2019, he was a research fellow associated with the project POCI-01-0145-FEDER-028196 - ¿RISK.AR - Assessment of risks associated with antibiotic-resistant environmental bacteria: propagation and transmission to humans¿. In 2021, he completed the Post-Graduation in Clinical Analysis and Public Health - Branch of Microbiology, at Escola Superior de Saúde. He is currently studying for a PhD in Advanced Biotechnology at the University of Vigo. His mains interests are the potential bioactivities displayed by food isolated fungi, a project in development while working as a research fellow at the T-Bio, Center for Research in Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology, a laboratory in the Health Superior School of the Porto Polytechnic, and in collaboration with CECLIN from Fernando Pessoa Hospital, and the "Departamento de Bioloxía Funcional e Ciencias da Saúde, àrea de Microbioloxía of Vigo".
