Paulo Rocha obtained his degree in Orthoptics from School of Health of Porto and holds a specialist title in Orthoptics from the Polytechnic University of Porto. Since 1996, he has been working as an Orthoptist in the Ophthalmology department of the University Hospital Center of São João. Additionally, he is a professor at the School of Health of Porto. Currently, Paulo is a Ph.D. student in Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Aveiro, with his research focusing on non-invasive ocular electrical stimulation and electrophysiology of visual system. Paulo is also a member of the Centre for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research.
